GMAT for MBA and Business Masters

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) developed and designed by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) is standardized test taken by college graduates. The test score is used to match suitable candidates for MBA admission and similar other programmes. There is no special requirements to write GMAT, anyone can go for it. However, the test often taken by college graduates with 4 year degree qualification or higher which is minimum basic requirement to apply for MBA and other Master’s programmes. GMAT Exam Pattern

GMAT is a 3 hour 30 minute Computer Adaptive Test. The test has four sections:

1. Analytical Writing Assessment—measures your ability to think critically and to communicate your ideas

2. Integrated Reasoning—measures your ability to analyze data and evaluate information presented in multiple formats

3. Quantitative Reasoning—measures your ability to analyze data and draw conclusions using reasoning skills

4. Verbal Reasoning—measures your ability to read and understand written material, to evaluate arguments and to correct written material to conform to standard written English

Test Section: Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA)
  • Time Limit: 30 Minutes
  • No. of Questions: 1
  • Questions Type: Analysis of an argument
  • Score Range: 0-6 (in o.5 points increments)
Test Section: Integrated Reasoning (IR)
  • Time Limit: 30 Minutes
  • No. of Questions: 12
  • Questions Type: Graphics Interpretation, Table Analysis, Multi Score Reasonin, Two-part Analysis
  • Score Range: 1 to 8 (in 1 point increments)
Test Section: Quantitative Reasoning (QR)
  • Time Limit: 62 minutes
  • No. of Questions: 31
  • Questions Type: Data Sufficiency, Problem Solving
  • Score Range: 6-51 (in 1 point increments)
Test Section: Verbal Reasoning (VR)
  • Time Limit: 65 minutes
  • No. of Questions: 36
  • Questions Type: Reading Comprehension, Critical Reasoning, Sentence Correction
  • Score Range: 6-51 (in 1 point increments)

GMAT Focus

GMAT Focus Registration is now open for exam starting 7 November 2023. The GMAT Focus Edition is more focused exam to strengthen your B-School Application. Following given GMAT Focus Test Structure:
  • GMAT Focus is a 3 Sections (64 Questions) Examination. The exam can be completed in the order of your chosing: Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Data Insights.
  • The GMAT Focus is a 2 Hour 15 Minutes test.
  • You can bookmark and review as many answers as you want. And you can change upto 3 responses per section.
  • GMAT Focus is measured on a scale of 205 to 805. All 3 sections are weighed equally towards your total score.
  • You can view unofficial score report immediately after the exam time. Official score report will be available within 3-5 business days.
  • You can send 5 Free Score Reports to programs within 48 hours of receiving your official score report.
  • Additional score reports are available for a fee.

GMAT Score Validity

GMAT Score is valid for a period of 5 years. However, you can retake the test and send best score to B-Schools.

GMAT Score Report

After completing GMAT Examination you will see Four of Your Five Scores Quantitative, Verbal, Integrated Reasoning and Total Scores (score based on the Quantitative and Verbal sections). You have to think quickly what are the scores you want to report. Only 2 minutes time will be given for this. Within 2 minutes you will have to either accept or cancel the score. In case of no actions your scores will automatically cancelled. If you accept score report you will receive in print unofficial score report before leaving the test center. The unofficial report includes your Quantitative, Verbal, Integrated Reasoning, and Total scores.

The GMAT Official Score Report will be send to you by email within 3 weeks from the date of GMAT administration. The official score report will showcase score in individual section as well as overall GMAT Score and GMAT Percentile Score.
